Scarlett Johansson interpreta a Lucy, una mujer obligada a ejercer de mula (de drogas). Al romperse una bolsa llena de una desconocida sustancia sintética que transporta en su estómago, los narcóticos entran en contacto con su cuerpo y adquiere habilidades nunca antes desarrolladas por el ser humano. Su capacidad cerebral se irá desarrollando progresivamente, dotándola de poderes y llegando al límite de lo desconocido cuando alcanza el 100%. . Lucy comienza entonces su venganza. <br />
